What is a timeslot type?

A timeslot type represents a duration you can reserve a resource, e.g. 12 hours. You can create any number of timeslot types depending on which reservation options you want to offer to your customers.

Creating/Changing a timeslot type

You can find the timeslot types in the menu Settings -> Timeslot Types. Below is the screen for the timeslot types.

Tidstyper

You must as a minimum provide the following information,

  • Internal name, Type Code, Duration, Type name

Field description

Internal name

Enter a name for the timeslot type that is used internally within the administration program.

Type code

A short code that represents the timeslot type, e.g. "1H" for an hour, "2H" for two etc. The type code is used e.g. when you create prices.

Duration

Specify the duration of the timeslot type. The first field is number of days, second is hours and the last is minutes.

Available for booking until

Specify how long time before the customer must book the timeslot type. By specifying a value here you can make sure you have time enough for e.g. preparations. The first field is number of days, second is hours and the last is minutes.

Requires approval

You can request that a reservation must be approved by you. When a customer reserves the timeslot he/she is informed that the order has to be approved by you before it is binding. Please note that reservations that has to be approved cannot be used with online payment (only bank transfer)

Language

Here you can select a language and then provide language dependent information that the user will see in e.g. the webshop.

Type name

Enter a name for the timeslot type for each supported language.

Approval notice

If you have checked "Requires Approval" then you can specify e.g. a reason or requirement in order to be approved. For a meeting room you could enter "Activity must not be noisy".
